A bi-partisan majority of Minnesota’s legislature has voted to place the Marriage Amendment on the 2012 ballot with the help of a diverse coalition of marriage supporters. MinnesotaForMarriage.com will give the people of Minnesota their rightful opportunity to decide the definition of marriage just as 31 other states have done. Please spread the word by sending your friends and family a message asking them to support our campaign.
The Minnesota Marriage Amendment does two important things:
- First, it preserves the definition of marriage in Minnesota as being the union of one man and one woman. This is the same definition of marriage adopted by voters in every state to consider the issue (31 of 31 states have voted in favor of traditional marriage), adopted by a bi-partisan majority in Congress and signed into law by President Clinton, and adopted by virtually every nation on earth throughout recorded history.
- Second, it ensures that activist judges and politicians won’t be able to change Minnesota’s definition of marriage in the future.
Please help us spread the word about the Marriage Amendment! As your firends, neighbors, family and colleagues to join the campaign. If you have a Facebook or Twitter account, please consider posting or retweeting our press releases, videos and other information to help us spread the word about the importance of preserving marriage as the union of one man and one woman.
